using darts to tranq a giga is a total and complete waste, just use a crossbow. thanks man, brought my apprentice crossbow, with 200 tranq arrows, knocked it out a lot easier and faster, never would've guessed, lol. Darts are for low HP and flying dinos. While torpor is increasing, all torpor loss is halted entirely. I knocked out a giga while waiting 3-4 seconds between shots just fine. If torpor from tranqs lasts 5 seconds, then you are fine till that 5th second. I also explained in the post linked below how to actually keep it down the easy way.
